Dusan Husar

Dušan Husár graduated in Cinematography from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava with a master’s degree in 2013. Since then, he worked as Director of Photography for various productions around the globe. In 2015, he won the award for Best Cinematography at ASK for best Commercial/Music video of the year with the project Zlatý Bažant. Dušan has been focusing mainly on feature films where his most frequent collaborators include director Adam Sedlák (Domestik, 2018 and BANGER., 2022 – both premiered at Karlovy Vary film festival) or Vojtěch Mašek (Arvéd, 2022 – awarded Best Film at Czech Film Critics awards). He is a three-time Czech Lions nominee for his work on Arvéd, Banger, and Sensitive Person. His latest feature film Solitude (dir. Ninna Pálmadóttir) premiered at Toronto International Film Festival in 2023. Dušan Husár is a member of ASK (The Association of Slovak Cinematographers).
